The Woodmore Women’s Institute and Red River Recreation is offering a Fermentation Workshop
Fermented foods have been a part of our old world food culture. Sauerkraut, thickened milk and sour pickles many of us have grown up with. Fermented foods and probiotics are food techniques that our ancestors have practiced for hundreds of years and yet much of the Western world favors processed and pasteurized food leading to the art of probiotics being lost. If you would like to relearn and also add new fermentation recipes and techniques to your food preparation skills mark your calendar for the evening of Oct 4th2016. Last year we offered a workshop on fermenting vegetables and want to focus on beverages and condiments this year.
Location : Roseau Valley School
Cost: $15/person
