Event Details

Even in the middle of the city grows edible and plants with healing properties. Between cobblestones, along paths, in backyards, in allotments, on waste land, in parks and in cemeteries you can find chamomile, dandelion, wild garlic, ribwort, deadnettle, lesser celandine, garlic oxeye, shepherd’s purse, chickweed and mugwort. Plants should be collected carefully as they are an important food source and habitat for wild bees, butterflies and birds. Alexis Goertz from Edible Alchemy will walk with us through the Spore Garden and neighboring parks and she will show us how to preserve plants and herbs through fermentation.

We will meet at 4 pm in the Spore Garden. You can participate without registration.
